The Story

Did you watch the new Rajnikant movie?
Not really, I’m reading this book and didn’t get the time.
Which one?
Shantaram, a story of an Australian guy’s life in India and ………
Such are conversations which happens daily, in everyone’s life. We all talk love to watch movies, Bollywood and Hollywood. We love to read novels. We laugh endlessly while watching cartoons. And there is one thing common in all of them – Story. And stories are presented in various forms. It could be presented as movies or theatre drama or as novel. Someone would tell stories as television series. Off course we all love the comics. Some people love to watch movies as they want to see beautiful world. Some people love to read novels as it gives space to the readers to create their own virtual world. However the backdrop is the same – story.
Basically, we are all fascinated by stories. We all love to hear orsee some stories. It could be a fiction or a biography. The story might be a drama or a thriller or a suspense or a comedy. I wondered what makes us like these stories so much? And then I realized that there is something common about the stories – Problems. Basically any story revolves around a guy who is dealing with a problem and the story is about his fight with this problem. Now the problem in each story may vary from complexities in marrying the love interest or getting a job or even war with aliens. The story depicts the fight of the protagonist against the evil or against the tough times. Like everyone, a protagonist has a problem to deal with and he wins over the problem in the end.
A Story is the finest form of education. Education? You must be wondering what I’m talking about. How is a story an education? It is, indeed. It teaches us about life. It tells us about the most important principles of life – To fight against all odds, To Never give up, persistence, honestly. A story teaches us so much without us even realizing it. A story teaches us to be calm in any situation. Don’t you think about your favourite super hero when you are in a difficult situation? Don’t you imagine what your favourite character from a novel would have done if he would be in the given situation. We all do, our subconscious mind always takes inspiration from the stories we see around.
There will always be problems in life but problems aren’t there to stay for always. They will pass. What’s more important is how we tackle such situations. Remember problems are like trees. Trees represents obstacles while you are on your journey called life. They appear to be bigger and bigger when you approach them. Once you pass through those obstacles, they appear to look smaller and smaller when you look back and eventually they disappear. Such is life.
Write your own story. Live life to the fullest. Handle each situation with calm. And emerge as a true Hero.
